Recently, we carried out an upgrade of old legacy CCTV equipment at Fermanagh Omagh District Council’s Gortrush Civic Amenity Site, or more commonly known as ‘The Dump’.
The team fitted a total of 14 Hikvision AcuSense 4MP PoE Bullet cameras around this large site on lighting columns, buildings and transfer sheds, giving council staff a superb panoramic view of the whole site and specific areas including entrance, exits, public and commercial weighbridges, recycling areas, waste containers/sheds and parking bays to ensure a high level of video surveillance for crime prevention and public safety.
All Cat6 cables have been installed using steel conduit to protect against the high levels of vermin on the site. Given the scale of the site, we were also able to use the existing fibre network to reduce cable runs back to the comms cabinet in the weighbridge office. We also installed a 43-inch HDMI Monitor so staff can monitor the site with ease.
